Mansa, October 16 (SARA YAHA) – Team of Vigilance Department, Mansa conducted a Surprise Inspection in the grain market of Mansa today and interacted with the farmers who had brought Paddy and cotton crops and listened their problems. Vigilance officials said that on the instructions of Chief Director Vigilance PK Sinha IPS , and SSP Vigilance Bathinda Digvijay Kapil, they checked the grain markets and interacted with the farmers and obtained information and talked to some farmers and asked them about problems they faced in grain markets. They also inquired about issues hampering lifting from officials of market committees and purchasing agencies.They said that a report regarding the problems reported by the farmers will be sent to the head office.
The checking aimed to ensure that the procurement process was running smoothly and that farmers faced no inconvenience during the sale of their produce. Officials of the Vigilance Bureau interacted with farmers and procurement staff to review the ongoing process, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability.
SSP Vigilance Bathinda Digvijay Kapil instructed to teams to give a transparent report in case they found any irregularity in the weighing, quality control, purchase, payment and lifting process or lack of basic facilities. In addition to this, allotment of mandis/shellers and transportation of paddy to warehouses/millers would also be under scanner to explore and expose any nexus between procurement agencies and arhtiyas.
Vigilance SSP Digvijay Kapil said That strict action would be initiated against the erring officials if any discrepancy was found to the bureau during the drive. He appealed the people to report corruption by the public servants at Vigilance Bureau’s toll free number without any hesitation.
