ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ: ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ‘ਫ਼ਾਨੀ’ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਦੀ ਖਾੜੀ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਹੈ। ਅਗਲੇ 24 ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਤਰਨਾਕ ਚੱਕਰਵਾਤੀ ਤੂਫਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਣ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਦਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਫ਼ਾਨੀ, ਤ੍ਰਿੰਕੋਮਾਲੀ (ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ) ਤੋਂ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 750 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਪੂਰਬ-ਦੱਖਣੀ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਿੱਚ, ਚੇਨੰਈ ਤੋਂ 1,080 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੱਖਣ-ਪੂਰਬੀ ਤੇ ਮਛਲੀਪੱਟਨਮ (ਆਂਧਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼) ਤੋਂ 1,260 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੱਖਣ-ਪੂਬਰੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੇਂਦਰਤ ਹੈ।

Cyclonic Storm #Fani, as on today morning, is located at 880 Kms South East of Chennai. It is expected to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm by 30th April. Storm will continue to move North West and change its path to North East from 1st May.

ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੁਲੇਟਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਉਂਦੀ 30 ਅਪਰੈਲ ਤਕ ਫ਼ਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰ-ਪੱਛਮੀ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਓੜੀਸ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਬੰਗਲਾਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਕੰਢੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਚੱਕਰਵਾਤ ਆਂਧਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ 200 ਤੋਂ 300 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਤਕ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
